In this release, Trio Orelon present their second album together with Da Vinci Classics, a captivating new album that serves as an invitation to rediscover the remarkable talents of two gifted female composers from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. This exceptional recording, following the Trio's interest in works of women composers after the first CD dedicated to Amy Beach, brings to life the Piano Trios of Dora Pejacevic and Amanda Maier-Röntgen.
Dora Pejacevic, a distinguished Croatian noblewoman, is celebrated as a pioneer in her country's classical music scene. Her compositions are renowned for their depth, innovation, and distinctive character. Amanda Maier-Röntgen, on the other hand, infused her music with the rich cultural heritage of her native Sweden, creating works that resonate with the lyrical and folkloric elements of her homeland.
